Your bathroom should be a place of calm and relaxation so here are some ideas to get you inspired and help turn your bathroom into your own personal paradise.
Scandi Influence
Without a doubt, one of the biggest trends this year has been the use of wood in bathrooms, and we think this Scandi influence will continue to be a factor in 2018. Whilst some people might be wary of using wood in the bathroom due to the humidity, modern treatments allow wood to be able to withstand anything. Hardwood floors are much easier on the eye than cold hard tiles and give a rustic, natural feel to your bathroom whilst wooden fixtures such as tubs or washbasins also provide something a bit different to the norm.
Adding Colour
Colour is slowly making its way back into modern bathrooms, although the days of peppermint green and pink are long gone. Instead subtle tones and natural/organic hues are preferred. Creating a natural effect in the bathroom has often been a popular tend and colours that reflect this such as blues, dark greens and warm browns are becoming increasingly popular. The classic black and white look is also making a comeback with monochrome bathrooms expected to be a big feature of 2018.
Different Textures
Modern bathrooms are becoming much more interesting and less about plain white tiling and cold hard surfaces. It’s not just wood that’s helping bring the bathroom into the 21st century either, but other interesting textures such as terra cotta and natural stone. Adding different textures to your bathroom can make it a warmer more inviting place to relax and soak after a long hard day at work.
Freestanding Tubs
One of the biggest features of your bathroom Is the tub itself so it is always best to give it some careful thought. Freestanding tubs make a great focal point and also add a touch of luxury to any bathroom. Although they are best suited to a bigger bathroom they also come in a wide range of sizes and shapes offering you a great deal of flexibility should you need it.
